YourPetRamp.com was established to help inform pet owners of the dangers involved in letting your pet jump up or down. We want your pet to lead a healthy and safe long life.
Our wonderful beagle, Gypsy, who is now 12, began sleeping with us in bed several years ago. She would jump on and off several times each day and we never gave it a second thought. Unfortunately this repetitive pounding took its toll over time. Gypsy now limps most of the time due to arthritis in one of her front shoulders. Now when ever I take her out to run, it takes a while for her to loosen up and run freely. She still likes to chase rabbits and never wants to quit, but my heart breaks every time I watch her stand up after having laid down for an extended period.
Gypsy, Pudgy our beagle/basset mix, and Spooky our cat now have easy access to the couch and the bed. Spooky also now has easy access to her favorite window. Gypsy and Pudgy can now get into and out of our vehicles with much greater ease and safety. Please help your pet by not allowing them to jump up onto difficult places or down from dangerous heights. You will be rewarded with the knowledge you are doing everything you can for the safety of your favorite pet companion.
